My Favorite Things: A Blog Linkup

January has flown by! Even though I’m a little bit behind, I’m going to do Eirene and Raisa’s link-up, ‘My Favourite Things’. Click the banner above to see what it’s all about!

So, this month’s been very busy, but I’ve somehow managed to find some time to relax and have some fun. Here are my favourite things from January…

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5
Tony Hawk
I’ve been a fan of Tony Hawk since I got a GameCube, so I was very excited when they announced that he was coming back for a new game. Although I do have a few complaints about this game, I can’t deny that I’ve been addicted to it this past month, with a lot of my spare time being spent upside down on a half-pipe.

J-Stars Victory VS
J-Stars
Me and Andy have spent quite a bit of time playing this together over the past month. It’s a fighting video game, where you get to play as loads of great anime characters, including Naruto (Naruto), Luffy (One Piece) and Koro Sensei (Assassination Classroom). Some of their moves are hilarious, with orange throwing and tentacle tickling (I have no idea how to describe what Koro Sensei does) being among some of the funniest attacks. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo even attacks using his nose hair! Being a big fan of anime, this is a great game for me – I get so excited whenever we unlock someone new!

Assassination Classroom
Assassination Classroom
This has got to be my favourite out of all my favourites this month. Assasination Classroom is a manga about a powerful octopus creature (Koro Sensei) who destroys part of the moon, then threatens to destroy the Earth if he isn’t stopped within one year. He then becomes a teacher to give mankind a chance to stop him, with his class being given the task of assassinating him. It sounds really odd, but it is honestly the funniest manga I have ever read and I love everything about it.

Very strange anime
I recently downloaded Crunchyroll on my PS4, when I was hunting for places to watch Assassination Classroom. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it, but I did find a series called ‘I Can’t Understand What My Husband is Saying’, which is about a woman who is adjusting to married life. There are some really odd sex references, and it is quite weird at times, but I think it may be partially because it doesn’t translate well to English. I am really enjoying it however – there are a lot of amusing bits and it’s very interesting to watch. Each episode is only three minutes long, so it’s perfect for when I don’t have much time to spare!

Bloglovin’
I’ve had a Bloglovin’ account for a couple of years now, but I hadn’t really used it until this month. Since starting my new job, I now spend three hours a day on the bus, so I tend to read blogs at this time. The mobile app is perfect for scrolling through different sites, and it also makes it very easy to return comments and keep up with blog entries. I get a notification every time someone posts something new!

Carex: Strawberry Laces
Carex
This is the best smelling soap in the entire world. *tries not to eat own hands*

I already have some favourites for February, so I’ll definitely be taking part in this link-up again. What were your favourites in January?

  1. Yay for gaming XD Those aren’t games I’d play, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

That . . . manga sounds totally bizarre, but at the same time I can see why it’s appealing LOL I may actually check it out just because of it’s truly insane plot! LOL

Strawberry Laces sounds like it’d smell so delicious! I wouldn’t mind trying it for the scent ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I’ve never read any manga before but that Assasination Classroom sounds bizarrly awesome so I think I might have to see if I can find somewhere to read it from!

  3. I had a Wii for awhile but I stopped playing it. Literally collected dust. LoL. But, back in the day, I was an avid gamer. I loved my n64, GameCube, and SNES. I just don’t feel gaming as exciting anymore and nothing compares to our classics.

I can clearly tell how much you love that soap! It’s almost all gone! I can’t use scented soaps or sanitizers because I have horrible eczema and dry/cracked hands unfortunately.

  4. Ahhh I love the strawberry laces handwash! I’m like you, I signed up to bloglovin’ but then never used it so I’ll have to go back to it and have a proper look.

  5. Oooh I remembered the post with Tony Hawk! It’s pretty exciting to see how he made the skateboarding world more extreme ~in a good way~

J stars looks pretty neat with all of the characters in Anime fighting each other. This reminds me of Super Smash Bros. Brawl! Assassination Classroom sounds interesting- especially with the octopus trying to be evil but nice???

Bloglovin is great! I use it as an attempt to keep track with blogs XD.

  6. J-Stars Victory looks really fun! So many popular Anime characters in there! I’ve also been meaning to watch or read Assassination Classroom. It looks like my type of series.

I love “I can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying” ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s such a cute series! I watched the first season in one sitting since the episodes are so short. I need to watch the second season too!

  7. That anime game sounds like fun. I don’t play games anymore though… I’ve never been one to play on my own and since I live alone now, getting people over to play is rare.

Assassination Classroom is an awesome series. I have been watching on Funimations streaming channel on my Roku. I have yet to pick up the manga.

  8. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of bloggers out there that loves gaming. I’m probably one that used to love gaming, not so much now that I’m in college. However, I do have my favorites.

Believe it or not, I had a classmate in high school that bellowed she was related to Tony Hawk and to all the girls don’t even think about asking her for his phone number. I always thought that was an odd thing to say to a class. It was definitely random.

I do have one other memory where a female claimed to be Summer Phoenix and told me her cousin was Joaquin phoenix and to stay away from him. I don’t really think she was the real Summer though. Sorry for the random memories, but it is kind of related to Tony Hawk.

Anyways, I should really start playing video games to relieve stress more. Again, I have my favorites and it’s Mario Bros. and challenging games like Zelda.

I have never heard of Assassination Classroom before, but than again, I don’t really read much manga anymore. Besides this manga, what would you recommend? I have read Fushigi Yuugi, Chobits, Death Note, Ayashi No Ceres and a few others.

  9. Glad you were able to have a relaxing and fun January. It did feel like that month was never going to end, though!

I’m not that into anime, but I recognise a few of the characters in that game from the list that my friend has been egging me to watch. Haha.

I haven’t read any manga in AGES. Problem is there are so many volumes, so I never know which one to choose to read. Do you have any suggestions? Assassination Classroom sounds really good actually!

Omggggg, I used to love using Crunchyroll back in the DAY. That’s where I watched my Korean dramas, but they’ve moved it more toward anime nowadays.

(My favourite in January was my paycheck XD)

  10. I also have a Bloglovin’ account but don’t use it often. I don’t really know why either, because it’s actually something that seems to be helpful and I can see when new people post things, but I just never seem to get into it. Maybe one of these days ๐Ÿ˜›

I love anything and everything strawberry! It’s one of my favorite scents, and I love hand soap that smells real good! I always love when I’m gifted Bath & Body Works products because their handsoaps and lotions always smell so good!
