So, this month’s been very busy, but I’ve somehow managed to find some time to relax and have some fun. Here are my favourite things from January…
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5
I’ve been a fan of Tony Hawk since I got a GameCube, so I was very excited when they announced that he was coming back for a new game. Although I do have a few complaints about this game, I can’t deny that I’ve been addicted to it this past month, with a lot of my spare time being spent upside down on a half-pipe.
J-Stars Victory VS
Me and Andy have spent quite a bit of time playing this together over the past month. It’s a fighting video game, where you get to play as loads of great anime characters, including Naruto (Naruto), Luffy (One Piece) and Koro Sensei (Assassination Classroom). Some of their moves are hilarious, with orange throwing and tentacle tickling (I have no idea how to describe what Koro Sensei does) being among some of the funniest attacks. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo even attacks using his nose hair! Being a big fan of anime, this is a great game for me – I get so excited whenever we unlock someone new!
This has got to be my favourite out of all my favourites this month. Assasination Classroom is a manga about a powerful octopus creature (Koro Sensei) who destroys part of the moon, then threatens to destroy the Earth if he isn’t stopped within one year. He then becomes a teacher to give mankind a chance to stop him, with his class being given the task of assassinating him. It sounds really odd, but it is honestly the funniest manga I have ever read and I love everything about it.
Very strange anime
I recently downloaded Crunchyroll on my PS4, when I was hunting for places to watch Assassination Classroom. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it, but I did find a series called ‘I Can’t Understand What My Husband is Saying’, which is about a woman who is adjusting to married life. There are some really odd sex references, and it is quite weird at times, but I think it may be partially because it doesn’t translate well to English. I am really enjoying it however – there are a lot of amusing bits and it’s very interesting to watch. Each episode is only three minutes long, so it’s perfect for when I don’t have much time to spare!
I’ve had a Bloglovin’ account for a couple of years now, but I hadn’t really used it until this month. Since starting my new job, I now spend three hours a day on the bus, so I tend to read blogs at this time. The mobile app is perfect for scrolling through different sites, and it also makes it very easy to return comments and keep up with blog entries. I get a notification every time someone posts something new!
Carex: Strawberry Laces
This is the best smelling soap in the entire world. *tries not to eat own hands*
I already have some favourites for February, so I’ll definitely be taking part in this link-up again. What were your favourites in January?
